Ring of Fire Annular Solar Eclipse – June 21, 2020

The New Moon on June 21st will be an Annular Solar Eclipse at 00°21′ Cancer – often referred to as a “ring of fire” – that will happen right after the Summer Solstice on June 20th in the Northern Hemisphere.

As its name suggests, the ring of fire is easily the most exciting of the different varieties of an eclipse. Annular eclipses happen when the Moon is farthest from Earth. Because the Moon is so distant from Earth, it seems much smaller and does not block the entire view of the Sun. Instead, the Moon darkens the skies when it covers the Sun’s center, leaving the Sun’s visible outer edges to form a ring, or annulus, around the Moon. The ring of fire marks the maximum stage of an annular solar eclipse. Solar eclipses happen when the New Moon casts a shadow on Earth.

July 21, 2020 Annular Solar Eclipse Path

The eclipse begins at dawn in Eastern Africa over the Republic of the Congo on June 21, 2020 at 3:45 a.m. The Total Solar Eclipse Path of Totality – or the maximum phase of a total eclipse during which the lunar disk covers the Sun – will presage through Central Africa to the Arabian Peninsula, South Asia, India, China, and Taiwan lasting roughly four hours as the Moon’s shadow moves across the Earth’s surface, before finally ending in the South Pacific over Guam at 08:32:17 GMT.

The Meaning of the New Moon

According to traditional sources, the New Moon represents the end of one cycle and the beginning of another new 28-day cycle. Archetypally, the New Moon represents:

  • The Gnostic Marriage of Sol (the Sun) and Lunar (the Moon) – the alchemical marriage of male and female
  • The Greek goddess Hestia (Vesta) – the crackling blaze of the hearth in the home
  • The fetus in the womb (Moon) waiting to be born into a new life (Sun).

The New Moon symbolically signifies the interplay of instinct (Moon) and ego (Sun), of soul (Moon) and spirit, yin (feminine) and yang (masculine) principles, Mother (Moon) and Father (Sun) or Man (Sun) and Woman (Moon), and existence (Moon) and meaning (Sun).

The New Moon is often viewed as a symbol of both endings and new beginnings. The nighttime darkness of the New Moon symbolizes the mysterious watery depth of the unconscious – the transpersonal realm where personal identity and individual boundaries dissolve and the sense of direction and ego are lost for the purpose of cleansing away the past in order to prepare the way for the future.

Traditionally, the New Moon is a most propitious time to bring one’s personal life and intentions to greater clarity and prominence as it represents a reset and new beginning of a person’s inner life. Therefore, it correlates with an upsurge of energy or intuition of some opportunity such as making a fresh start, turning over a new leaf, or launching a new project and initiative. It also correlates with inner healing, where two opposing parts of oneself have come together to some inner resolution.

The Meaning of the Solar Eclipse

A Solar Eclipse is like a regular New Moon (where the Moon and Sun have the same ecliptic longitude);  however, the difference is that the Earth is engulfed in a shadow cast by the Moon which fully or partially blocks the Sun. Therefore, a Solar Eclipse is considered more significant because Moon obscures the Sun. Also, because Solar Eclipse is rare because the timing of the New Moon within the eclipse season needs to be more exact for an alignment between the observer (on Earth) and the centers of both the Sun and the Moon.

Although an eclipse is a natural phenomenon, in ancient cultures, solar eclipses were attributed to supernatural causes or regarded as significant omens that signify the advent of change and divine revelation from the gods. Ancient astrologers considered eclipses (along with the appearance of comets) omens of notable births, deaths, military battles, or other significant events throughout history in many civilizations.

For example, according to the Greek historian Herodotus, the Total Solar Eclipse on May 28, 585 B.C.E, that was accurately predicted by the Greek mathematician and astrologer Thales of Miletus was interpreted as an omen that interrupted a battle in a long-standing six-year war between the Median Kingdom and the Lydian Kingdom along the Halys River (modern Kızılırmak River, Turkey). During the onset of the eclipse (between 5:55 pm – 6:15 pm LMT), the fighting immediately stopped, and the two kingdoms agreed to a truce.

Eclipses can mark dramatic changes in the phase of one’s life, coinciding with events of initiation or termination. There can be a sharp dramatic unexpected change in one’s financial status, prestige, and fortune. Eclipses can also force an issue something that has reached a major impasse or blockage, often through some type of unexpected disruptive force or development.

According to 20th Century astrologer Charles Jayne, events seven to ten days leading up to an eclipse are notable and significant where affairs often take a radical turn that is not anticipated. The force of destiny is more prominent during this period, with an increase in the tempo of events as developments unfold.

On a mundane level, eclipses can invoke an existential crisis that causes a radical reframing of the values and unquestioned beliefs of a society, or nation. The world is often swept up in unexpected new developments and can often invoke a collective “wake-up” event to occur that shakes the collective cognitive dissonance of the reality of a situation. Eclipses often serve as red flag indicators summon a long-overdue crisis that “tests” a nation’s leadership and vision that often that invokes changes and reforms.

The Cancer-Capricorn Eclipse Axis 2018 – 2020

The June 21st Solar Eclipse is part of the series of eclipses on the Cancer–Capricorn axis. These eclipses that began with the Partial Solar Eclipse at 20°30’ Cancer on July 12, 2018, continued throughout 2019 with the Partial Solar Eclipse at 15°28’ Cancer on January 5, 2019, the Total Solar Eclipse at 10°40’ Cancer on July 2, 2019, followed by the Annular Solar Eclipse at 04°07’ Capricorn on December 26, 2019, and into 2020  shortly after the Summer Solstice with the Annular Solar Eclipse at 00°21’ Cancer on June 21st Eclipse, when they will be completed.

This cycle of eclipses in the Cancer-Capricorn axis aligns along the World Point, the Heliocentric North Nodes of Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto, and the Invariable Plane of the Solar System.

  • World Point at 00 Cancer and 00 Capricorn (July 21, 2020, Solar Eclipse)
  • Heliocentric North Node of Jupiter at 10 Cancer (July 2, 2019, Solar Eclipse)
  • Heliocentric North Node of Saturn at 23 Cancer (December 26, 2019, Solar Eclipse)
  • Heliocentric North Node of Pluto at 20 Cancer (July 12, 2018, Solar Eclipse)
  • The Invariable Plane at 13-16 Cancer-Capricorn Axis (January 5, 2019, Solar Eclipse)

Historically, major world events and developments that upset the world balance of power have accompanied Solar Eclipse transits along the Cancer-Capricorn Axis. This series of Solar Eclipses that occurred along the Cancer-Capricorn Axis coincided with the gradual approach of the Mars-Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto stellium during the Spring Equinox in March on the Heliocentric North Node of Saturn and the Heliocentric North Node of Pluto, nearly at the midpoint (March 24th, 2020) between the Annular Solar Eclipse of December 26, 2019, and the Annular Solar Eclipse of June 21st, 2020. June 21 2001 Total Solar Eclipse

The June 21st Solar Eclipse will occur in 0° Cancer. The World Points are located at zero degrees on the Cardinal Signs (Aires, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn). According to mundane astrologer Bill Meridian, planets at the World Point release archetypal planetary energy on the world stage with great force and immediacy. For example, nineteen years ago on June 21, 2001 there was a Solar Eclipse at 0° Cancer. When transiting Mars in Capricorn opposed this point in September 8th, 2001, the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks took place shorty after in New York and Washington, D.C. Because the June 21st Solar Eclipse is at 0° Cancer, the eclipse will have a major impact on world affairs.

S&P 500 vs Fed Balance Sheet

The June 21st Eclipse on the World Point signifies that the global exchange markets be in significant danger due to excessive exuberance of Wall Street monetary and fiscal stimulus and misguided monetary policies by Federal Reserve (Fed). A staggering $10.4 trillion in fiscal stimulus and $7.9 trillion in monetary stimulus – for a grand total of 20.8% of global GDP, has been injected mostly over the past 3 months! The S&P 500 index had skyrocketed 47% from the intraday low on March 23 (2,192) to the close on June 8th (3,232), during the worst economic crisis in history.

Bi-Wheel: Federal Reserve Operations Chart / June 21st, 2020 Solar Annular Eclipse

The Solar Eclipse hit to the Federal Reserve’s natal Saturn-Pluto Operations event horoscope augurs the attempt to “relate” targeted markets to maintain the perception of economic growth and expansion, that will accelerate and intensify the financialization of the “Everything Bubble,” due to the Federal Reserve’s massive lending and asset purchases propping up financial markets along with sustaining consumption by states and businesses, taking on more debt and inflating new bubbles. The parabolic stock moves over the last several months draw a comparison with the 2000 stock market crash when obscure “zombie” companies were doubling and tripling monthly.

The June 21st Solar Eclipse is square Mars and quincunx Saturn, while Venus is stationing direct at the time of the Eclipse. Portending willful focused aggression with a tendency to feel like a victim while covertly behaving as a perpetrator. The Eclipse is also conjunct the fixed star Menkalinan (β (Beta) Aurigæ) at 00° Can 03 has the character of Mercury and Mars – high enterprise, the impulse to put one’s ideal to action, and the single-minded pursuit of one’s objects, etc.. However, from a mundane perspective, it augurs unfortunate events and developments. It correlates with collapse, ruin, and scandal, and often a violent demise and downfall. With the potential danger of the breakout of military confrontations or earthquakes if associated with a Solar Eclipse.

The Saros Cycle

The July 2nd Solar Eclipse is a member of Saros Cycle 137.  The 54-year Saros Cycle is an important cycle to consider when evaluating eclipses.  In each Saros cycle, the shadow of the eclipse moves westward on the surface of the earth by 120 degrees with every eclipse. After 3 eclipses in the same cycle, the shadow of the eclipse has moved 360 degrees and is visible from the same place on earth. This cycle tends to re-energize events from that previous era after 54 years.

Based on the table above, the June 2020 Solar Eclipses relate to events of 1966.  In 1966 we saw the powerful resurgence of inflation – part of the effect to fund the Vietnam War. The U.S. Space Race with the USSR accelerated. The U.S. had nearly 500,000 troops in Vietnam prompted by the realization that the South Vietnamese government was losing the Vietnam War as the communist-dominated Viet Cong gained influence over much of the population in rural areas of the country. Other events that occurred in 1966 are:

  • Race in Atlanta and Black Power becomes a significant factor in American Politics,  the National Guard was deployed.
  • The Black Panthers, a revolutionary socialist political organization founded by Marxist college students Bobby Seale and Huey Newton in Oakland, California is formed.
  • Miranda Rights come into being after the Supreme Court overturns the conviction on June 13th of a confessed rapist ruling he had not been properly informed of his right to counsel and to not testify against himself.
  • Fashions both in America and the UK came from the part of the swinging London scene.
  • 200,000 protestors attend global anti-Vietnam war
  • The television show “Batman” and “Star Trek” debuts, becoming a global cultural phenomenon.
  • Revolver, the seventh studio album by the English rock band the Beatles was released in 1966, an early work in the psychedelic rock genre, which accompanied the emergence of counterculture ideology in the 1960s.

1966 Eclipse Events —> 2020 Eclipse Events

Based on the historical events of 1966 mentioned above, we may see the re-articulation of many of the same themes of high geopolitical tensions, and political animosity and turmoil will be the order of the day. However, we continue to see a renewed interest in the manned space program to begin to build a large-scale base on the Moon in 2024, and a planned manned Mars Expedition using new propulsion technology.

We will likely see the emergence of an adversarial space race for dominance between the United States and China. Along with widening societal and class divisions due to growing economic inequality resulting in large-scale protests and riots.

The United Kingdom will inevitably hit a wall with Brussels when negotiating the terms of the United Kingdom’s future relationship with the European Union.

Escalating instability in the Middle East, North Africa, and Southeast Asia. Iran will continue to expand its aggressive response to Washington’s “maximum pressure” campaign in 2020 by intensifying work on its nuclear program to gain leverage against the West in future negotiations and increase the cost to the United States of maintaining its sanctions-heavy strategy. However, Iran’s strategic goal to push the US out of the region, at least in Iraq, will fall short of the mark.

The Solar Eclipses make a direct hit on China’s natal Uranus, auguring unexpected developments and surprises, that will cause one a dramatic change in China’s plans. Therefore, we can expect greater unreliability and high unpredictability with the Chinese economy. Despite the setbacks of the COVID-19 pandemic, China continues to accelerate its military modernization program to boost to military research and development efforts designed to close the weapons gap with the United States.

Hong Kong’s crisis will persist stoking the overall rivalry between the United States and China in their trade-technology war, the chronic acrimony in Hong Kong will allow other, more stable business hubs such as Singapore or even Malaysia to attract companies looking for alternatives. It will also spur China to further emphasize mainland economic centers such as Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing to reduce Hong Kong’s financial and political prestige and power.

In China, we can expect political extremism, military diplomacy, and cowboy diplomacy, with a collective impulse toward hardened, ruthless ambitions, or extreme coercive means to emerge in China. A war between the U.S. and China, inconceivable just a decade ago, in 2020 it will become a regular topic of analysis and conversation.

If COVID-19 follows a pattern set by the 1918 Spanish flu, the pandemic is likely to last up to two years and return with a vengeance this fall and winter – a second wave worse than the first, according to a study issued from the University of Minnesota. Although second waves are more difficult to predict, the Solar Eclipse augurs we are likely we see the re-emergence of a Second COVID-19 “Reinfection” Wave outbreak that will continue to unsettle global markets and disrupt global economic supply chains.

We will continue to see North Korea threaten Japan and South Korea by building up conventional weapons, steering clear of relations and conducting missile tests to show the United States the costs of its refusal to heed Pyongyang’s demands.

Also, Venezuela’s collapse remains possible, along with a standoff between China and the United States over the trade war and the increased military activity in the South China Sea.

We are also likely to see an explosive burst of intellectual and artistic creativity in the collective psyche with the emergence of a new wave of musical artists because of a confluence of ideas, concepts, events, issues, and driven technology which act as a social catalyst for rapid change in the culture. We continue to see an acceleration in the technological shift to an alternative digital currency system for trade settlement that begins a major shift away from the fiat monetary system controlled by the world’s Central Banks.

The American Deep State Complex

In the United States, we will continue to see the American Deep State, an international empire, whose members control foreign policies, diplomacy, military issues, and international spying agencies called “intelligence agencies” — for the purpose of extending the empire — will continue to intensify its operations of influencing and manipulating anti-democratic coalitions in a covert manner within the government via subversive groups for the purpose of tearing down America’s institutional life and to destroy Donald Trump’s re-election prospects in November.

According to astrologer 20th Century Canadian astrologer Edmond Johndro stated that everything (including astrological alignments) that occurs 8 weeks prior to a Solar Eclipse is OWNED by that that Eclipse with developments culminating 6 months after the phenomena.  Meaning the eclipse will act as a trigger the larger archetypal narrative of the Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto planetary triad throughout the remainder of 2020. A period of a profound upsurge of relentless evolutionary forces (Pluto) on a titanic scale, with a profound sense uncertainty bearing down on the collective to face an extreme set of converging crisis (Saturn), where the stakes are high and everything is on the line that will lead ultimately lead to a profound regeneration and moral and structural reconfiguration of civilization (Jupiter).
