Much was made of the “Blue Wave” entering the Midterm Election by forecasting astrologers and the mainstream media – and Democrats had a reason to be optimistic. They increased their support in large areas of the Midwest and Rust Belt regions where Donald Trump dominated in 2016, most notably in Oklahoma’s 5th District and Kansas’s 3rd, where they flipped control.
